The Lao People’s Democratic Republic (Lao PDR) has commended Cambodia for its progress and development

PHNOM PENH: The appreciation was made by H.E. Buakeo Phumvongsay, the newly appointed Ambassador of Lao PDR to Cambodia, while presenting his credentials to Samdech Vibol Sena Pheakdei Say Chhum, acting head of state of Cambodia, at the house of Senate in Phnom Penh on Mar. 15.

Both sides expressed their satisfaction with the growing relationship and cooperation between both neighboring countries and peoples.

Say Chhum is convinced that through the diplomatic mission of H.E. Buakeo Phumvongsay, the ties of friendship, solidarity, and cooperation between both nations will be further tightened.

The acting head of state reaffirmed Cambodia’s readiness to closely cooperate with the new ambassador for the success of his mission in the Kingdom.

For his part, H.E. Buakeo Phumvongsay reiterated Lao PDR’s full support to Cambodia’s chairmanship of ASEAN, and extended the invitation of his president to His Majesty Norodom Sihamoni, The King of Cambodia, to pay a state visit to Lao PDR at an appropriate time.

The new Lao diplomat thanked the Royal Government and the people of Cambodia for their support for Lao PDR so far, especially for the assistance in cash, vaccines, refrigerated vaccine transport vehicles, and medical supplies to fight against the COVID-19 pandemic.
